While Rachael is currently focused on teaching she has enjoyed competing and performing. In 2016, she and her sister won both the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artist competition and the University of Arizona’s President’s Competition, playing Poulenc’s double piano concerto. She was then invited to perform the double concerto with both orchestras the following spring. Rachael also participated in the chamber music program for several years while at the University of Arizona and enjoys collaborating with other musicians and encourages her students to try ensemble playing as well. As she has gained teaching experience, Rachael has developed an ability to tailor her teaching style to each student so that they can gain the skills to understand and excel at piano.

As a piano teacher, Rachael is grateful for the opportunity to watch her students learn and grow as they achieve new skills. Rachael began teaching piano while in high school, and continued to teach throughout her time in college. She currently teaches students of all ages with a focus on classical music.
