Payment is due monthly on the first lesson of the month.
- Weekly half- hour lessons - $30 per lesson
- Weekly forty five minute lessons - $45 per lesson
- Weekly one – hour lessons - $60 per lesson
- Travel fee – $15 every time I go to your house
For example, if you have two students each taking a half hour lesson and I travel to your house,
the total would come to $75 per week and $300 would be due at the beginning of a month with 4

Missed Lessons
There will be no refund for missed lessons with less than 48 hours notice. If a lesson is canceled
with at least 48 hours notice (or if I cancel the lesson) I will do my best to schedule a makeup
lesson in person or online. If we cannot find a time for a makeup lesson, I will credit the
payment for the missed lesson to the next month’s payment.
Exception for illness: If you or anyone in your household is sick please cancel and there
will be no charge for the missed lesson up to two times per semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
Practice Tips
Consistent practice is one of the most important things that a musician can do to make progress.
- Anything counts, but something (weather it’s 2 minutes or 2 hours) every day is best to
reinforce what you are learning.
- To support younger students, provide your child with a distraction-free time each day if
possible
- When learning a piece, practice very small sections and play through the whole piece (or
larger sections) occasionally.
- Make sure to spend some time practicing slowly, especially when you know your piece well
- Record yourself, then listen back and write down anything you want to change.
Assignments
I will write an assignment every week in your student’s notebook or binder. Students should look
over the assignment every day to guide them in their practice. If your student is younger than 10
years old, go over the assignment with them when they sit down to practice. If you or your
student have a question about an assignment, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Supplies
Note book and/or three-ring binder - the student should bring their notebook to each lesson.
Loose sheet music should be kept in a three-ring binder.
Lesson and Theory books: Most students will start with a Lesson and a Theory book. I can show
you which books to purchase online or at a music store.
Recitals
Students are highly encouraged, but not required, to perform in two recitals per year. This is a
wonderful opportunity to share the music they have worked so hard on. Playing music for other
people also helps students play their pieces more confidently
